they keep on calling, but now I know it is a scam

Called on (07) 3180 0623. Wanted to know if I was the person to talk re minor traffic accident. Told I didn't know what he was talking about--what minor traffic accident?--they immediately rang off then. Google search found this reverseaustralia website with recent similar calls. Thanks to everyone who posted a comment--I thought I was alone. Cheers.

Before he could say anything, I said "Glad you called back, I want to speak to you about a car accident you were involved in you f*cking grub" - Surprisingly he hung up

An Indian person phoned could hardly speak any English, stated he was calling in relation to an accident in the last year, I asked him to repeat himself said the same thing again , I questioned what company he was from he mentioned "Accident Management Solutions" told him I have never had an accident, he then hung up on me. The number shown is (07) 3180 0623, this number has phoned me several times over the past few weeks not leaving a message, it wasn't until today I answered the call, the phone number shown is a Brisbane number, although I think it is somehow shonky, probably calling from India.

second time they have called me saying I was in a car accident a month ago I hung up on them, have put number in my reject calls list.

Did have another strange call two days ago with an asian woman's voice saying I was involved in a claim which was clearly bogus. That came from a mobile 0488 805 684

Car accident scam

I have received 7 calls from this same number. I have blocked it so they cannot contact me again. After 3 calls over a couple of week I figured it was a scam. Bad form guys.

Thanks everyone for the posts. This number has called my mobile continually, 3-5 times a day. I have repeatedly let the call ring out, or bumped it. Eventually I just blocked the number.

For those wishing to block this number for good, save this number as a contact and then within the contact listing, enable the option to block it. While this app does block the call, it still shows up as a missed call. If you do the procedure above, you won't receive calls, missed calls or missed call texts.

Second times they’ve called in three hours. I don’t answer numbers that are unknown, and from everything I’ve read here it’s a scam, so I’m not going to answer it anyway. But I’ve never had them call twice in a day - twice in three weeks but never a day. Will be blocking them.

The called twice today ignored the first call but picked up the second a few hours later. You could here noise in the background like they were siting in a restaurant or a public place, i asked who they were after and no one spoke, i asked 3 more times and no response. hung up..... number is now in the auto reject list. pests

Sounds foreign saying from AMS about an accident I was involved in!

2 phone calls lately - today I asked who they where They told me I was in an accident in the past 6 months - I told them I don't have a car
They said I was a passenger - I said to them so this is fraudulent phone call
They disconnected me
