Caller: Name indistinct

Started by saying he was from some indeciperable company name, calling from Queensland, then said he was in Sydney. When I questioned why he said he was from Queensland, he hung up.

Dropped out after only a few rings. Judging by earlier comments, it seems to be a robot call.

Just hangs up when they realise they are talking to a business.
COME ON TELSTRA! STOP THESE IDIOTS FROM CALLING.
Its easy for you to STOP THEM DEAD!
for god sake, get off your BUTT and just STOP all this scam call sh*t!
Stop just counting the money you make from the extra calls!
For this reason, Telstra is turning out to be as bad as the scammers.

Says he is calling from a travel company, the name of which I couldn't understand but didn't sound anything like the few companies I have dealt with. Hung up and added the number to my call block list.

As above. Rang at least a dozen times on a Saturday and something tells me that's not it ... Tomorrow better not be the same.

I returned call but 'could not be connected' - obviously a scam of some sort

Why can't the Australian Government investigate the use of scam phone numbers? Using a national communications system to deliberately disrupt individuals peace & privacy is a breach of the Communications Act isn't it ? Is it only whistle blowers that warrant investigations ?

multiple calls about 20 min apart last night. No messages left. Telstra Call Guardian now told to block all calls from the number, now phone does not even ring.
