Hang up as soon as you answer. Not the first time they have called.

My phone rang twice then they hung up. Not enough time to answer, did not leave a message. Not planning on ringing them back. 😂

Called at 8pm on Friday claiming to be doing a survey. I asked to have my number removed from their data base and he claimed he couldn’t do it for safety reasons as energex need to contact people during emergencies but he’s not Energex and he wouldn’t take my number off his list So made no sense

Do you want to know their IP? Easily done, few searches here & there and you can have sensitive details, freak the sh*t out of them. I suggest wire shark legacy, its a safe, packet sniffer program, designed to trace IP & MAC addresses, an expert could have the power to also sniff out passwords, username and sensitive details, relating to that computer. And a master of Wireshark also has the possibility to take complete control over the computer by tricking the original owners and users of the computer, design a trojan for them to click on (remember @echo off so cmd.exe console doesnt show up). ONLY USE THIS FOR THE GOOD, do not use this on innocents.

After the calls annoying me all day yesterday, I answered this morning to stop them. Very polite operator, who had my name. He said they were an independent research company. I asked how he had my name and he replied that it had been supplied by an Energy Company in Western Australia who wanted me to do a survey, and they had been contracted to do the survey. They would tell me which company at the end of the survey. I declined and asked that their call centre not call me again.

I had a phone call from this number late in the evening of 24/5/2016 (too late). The person claimed to be from a research company, wanting me to answer questions regarding the Department of Main Road in Queensland. I asked him how could I verify he represented who he said he was representing - a market research comany. Gartner?? A US company. It was not an AU company. He then proceeded to finalise the call. By the way, I am on the DO NOT CALL register. It was definitely a prank call.

It is a scam - they have you fooled. They told me they represented a US marketing company - Gartner. They did not tell me Gartner was a US company - I did some research. US marketing companies do not do market research for Government institutions in QLD. SCAM, and very artful too.

They call, then hang up, hoping you will call back because it's going to cost them a fortune to spend hours talking to people on mobile phones. They're not going to like the response I give them next time they call me.

Yes, it is a market research company called "Enhanced Research" based in Brisbane, Australia. The consultant who rang me (A.W.) was very polite. She identified herself, the company she worked for and the company she was calling on behalf of, and all this before she even asked my name!
She then explained that my participation was completely voluntary and would I like to proceed? I explained that I looked the number up here before her successful second call to me and asked why I was cold called. She replied that they do not cold call and the people they call are always clients of companies who commission them to do surveys of their customers such as banks etc.
In my case it was the crematorium where I had my mother recently (6 months ago) cremated. In fact, they crematorium had actually sent me a letter a few weeks ago explaining that someone would be calling. I was okay with the whole thing.
