They called me twice, he got really angry when I told him that after the first call I had spoken to Optus and they informed me it was a scam, the guy then told me he was going to "f**k my sh!t up" he also said he was going to come to my house with police and FBI, he got more annoyed when I told him we don't have FBI in Australia!!

Got the call , claiming to be from a mobile company in Fortitude Valley , Brisbane. Claimed I had won a free mobile phone. guess what , she had no idea where i stay what my suburb is though i was the best number from my suburb.. When I asked more question the phone was hung up. The more questions I asked the more frustrated the caller was.

This is from Vaya, if you even begin the sign up process they will have your details and will continuously call you even when you tell them to stop, for the love of God, stop.

I too got call from via optus (caller id withheld - seems they're learning) and when I asked where they were ringing from, told me Canberra, Queensland. Funny

I received a call 3 days ago from someone from "Via Optus" who said my phone had been selected to win a free mobile. Of course, I can't stand this kind of rubbish, and I asked where they got my phone number from so that I could be removed from their calling list. They hung up.

Just 10 minutes ago I received a second call (private number), same introduction "from Via Optus, selected to win.." blah blah. When I again asked them where they got my number from, they again chose not to answer the question and instead talk about this special prize phone I'd won. Again I asked where they got my number from, and reiterated that the other day they just hung up on me.

Where are they getting my number from? I'm on the "do not call" register, the Australian government run initiative, and don't receive calls from anyone else. Why these guys?

Got a call from this number just after lunch today, answered, and got no reply.

Seems it was just to test my number was valid. Saved number on phone as AVOID.

This number called me again this evening at 7:15pm, and I did not reply.
