Caller: offshore NBN tout Offshore cold callers trying to pressure people in newly lit up NBN areas to switch to them - they called me on behalf of my customer, so they are getting contact data leaked from somewhere. May be a legit Aussie NBN company at the end of this but pretty sneaky tactics to setup an appointment, and likely from stolen data. Beware!

Scammer called my wife's number, had her Mother's business details and wanted to arrange an appointment to connect NBN which was timely (for scammers) as her parents were arranging an NBN connection. Confirmed with Telstra that it was not them.

Caller: Supposedly AVNCO. This is a scam. Hung up mid sentence while she was still speaking. I must have asked too many questions and she went over her call time limit. Pretending to be Telstra and an odd ball mix of equipment and services. Primarily NBN cutover but not smart in answers to my questions

We are a outpatient medical centre and received a call regarding Telstra NBN migration fee from Queensland Australia. The phone number could not be verified with the correct Telstra support line which means its a scam. Both seem to target individuals and businesses. Be cautious and do not proceed with account information.

Same here - bombarded my landline and my mobile number, when I did not pick-up they did not leave a message - definitely a "dodgey" number

Have had a phone call from this number every day for 2 weeks. When I eventually answered once, there was no one on the other end. NBN salesmen makes sense, as this has recently become available in our area.

Caller: Supposedly on behalf of Telstra Rude. 1st call silly woman who would not listen tio me say No so had to hang up. 2nd call a bloke who was similar and wanted to schedule meeting. After I said No he suggested a date/time so I hung up on him too. Outbound sales company based in phillipines and/or india and buying local phone numbers to harass people. What's worse is that someone sold details related to our phone number, they knew two of the staff names.
