Advised that the call is a scam and I am on the do not call register. Got hung up on.

Asked if I’d been in an accident. When I bombarded him with questions, like “what is my last name? Where do I live? What car was I driving? What is my credit card number? Do you know my father?” He got so frustrated he hung up 🤷🏼‍♀️ Scam

Said she was calling from Legal Aid and asked if I had been in a motor vehicle accident in the last 2 years. When I asked her where she got my phone number from she said it was from a 'local authorised insurer'. When I asked her the name of the insurer she said she couldn't tell me because it was confidential. I told her I was on the Do Not Call list and asked her not to call me again.

Indian bloke gave me the typical ‘someone at your address has been in an accident’ etc etc

I made him work for it and requested a sh*t load of info... asked for an ABN to his business and he literally yelled to his team and said ‘he is asking for an ABN what do I do?!’

Said to him ‘oh so you’re not legit your just trying to scam me’

He hung up... have some fun with them. Waste their time 👌

They are not forthcoming at all with where they get their information from. Considering action to compel them to provide me with this information.

I just received a call from Legal Assist asking had I or a relative been in a car accident in the last 2 years. I said no and they hung up. I've blocked the number.

They are back and using this number 0480 034 348 now. When the tv show I am watching is on a ad break or I am doing chores I keep repeatedly prank calling them. I have a capped mobile plan... Doesn’t cost me anything and if their answering my call they can’t call others...

today is 2020 Sep 1st and i just got call by this number. When i checked the call history here, im surprise these scamer still dont give up after a year lol

Got a mobile call from a woman, said she was from Legal Assist. Asked if I had been involved in an accident in the last two years as she wanted to obtain money for me from the person who caused the accident. when I told her I haven't been involved in an accident she then asked if anybody associated with my mobile number had been. I asked her to identify who she was and who she is representing she just kept repeating she was from Legal Assist. I terminated the call. She called from 0421 969 779

Call was from 0480 034 347 - Said she was from legal assist - asked if I'd had an accident and I saidno why are you calling me. Tried to ask where she got my number and said it was reported at an accident. At that stage I said go away and hung up. It was oviously somebody fishing.

Insurance scam. Dont answer or just have fun giving them the run around ha ha.

As with others who received calls , claimed to be from Legal Assist in regards to an accident I supposedly had .This was the 3rd or 4th such call in the last 12 to 13 months ...told caller it was "bullsh*t" and hung up.

Typical Indian call centre call, claiming that I had an accident and they were going to help me. I called the guy out and said I am not stupid enough to fall for his scam and go to scam someone else. He got so angry and kept denying it and kept asking how he is scamming me? I just kept going on........

Legal Assist isn’t a scam. They are a real company in Australia, that directs public liability claims to preferred lawyers, but they seems to have mostly Indian sounding staff. They somehow have access to public liability accidents as they had my number through my Mum’s public liability claim for an accident in mid June in a business where she fractured her wrist. I stupidly gave them details and they forwarded my details to a lawyer to deal with my Mum’s claim. I was getting 1 to 3 calls from them daily to contact the lawyer. The lawyer they directed us to were great and we made a complaint to the lawyer about legal assist. In the end we chose a local lawyer and I am STILL getting calls from legal assist about my Mum’s claim. The last 3 times they have called me I’ve made it clear they need to stop calling me as the matter is being dealt with but they continue to call once every week or so.
