Had a call asking if I listen to the radio I said I don't. I was weary as I wasn't asked anything or even a hello and I thought if I had said yes that I may have been recorded and then scammers have this recording and can do what ever on my behalf etc. Please stay vigilant there are scammers out there who ask "can you hear me" which in return you say yes to and they record you saying yes and then you end up caught in fraud etc. never answer with a yes when you don't know the caller regardless of if it's a telemarketer etc.

Entertainment research company wanting you to buy stuff ... LEAVE it alone

They are calling from outside Australia using VOIP lines, so they are outside the influence of the Do Not Call Register
The Do Not Call Register is largely ineffective today as the scammers and spammers just call from cal centres outside of Australia. It's easy to set it up so your phone recognises the call as coming from an Australian number

Everyone can calm their farms. They aren't selling anything. I stayed on the phone after waiting for about 5 seconds and all they were doing was a one minute radio survey. They're asking what stations you listen to and times of day etc. Pretty simple.

Received a call from this number. When I answered, I briefly heard background noise and then they hung up.

hung up after I answered. Called back and line was engaged. Now blocked as it cam up woth potential scam on my phone.

well looks like its the old Solar panel team again told them I have enough solar panels on my roof and that I supply half the power in Victoria ignorant sods hung up just cant understand why

Had a call from that number today, didn’t recognise it. Now if I had my old job, I wouldn’t be able to not answer calls being in sales you need to answer or return all calls.. be nice if we could get the government to lock overseas callers from our mobile phones. Only allow numbers we provide to go through.

Do not answer! Didnt even say hello,she said they were doing radio research...when I said I don't listen to it she said thank you and hung up. My phone then said potential scam alert so
I looked at my recent calls and it said I had called them as well! Dodgy do not answer. It looks like they are charging you.

They don't let the phone ring long enough to answer it. got number from *10#. didn't return call has to be a scam

if they are not scammers and part of a legitimate radio network then they need to be told its rude to ring a business EVERY DAY and hang up when I answer

Had a missed call. Wasn't a number I knew. checked the reverse call line.
Reverseaustralia responses indicate it is ANOTHER scam caller. (We get them in batches every month)
My STANDARD answering phrase EVERY TIME a hear a delay/background noise/foreign accent is "WHAT do YOU want?"
Followed with something far LESS polite the moment they say they are from Telstra/Tax dept/other common company cited by scammers.
THEN I hang up.

Really im at work and it makes you worry if its not an urgent call so u risk getting in trouble. Pls guys I know you just wanna make a living but have more self esteem

Take all those 'Anonymous' responses in this thread with a grain of salt. A lot of those scammers will post that kind of response.
