Something about winning a competition. Had some very old details of mine. Scam.

some crap about an i phone competition,funny thing is i have never had an apple product and never will.so why would i enter a competition for apple products? this is a scam folks.

Scam! They say they have info on you but it’s all wrong.

Fishing, beware! Young aussie woman saying I have had entered a competition to win a laptop/iPhone/gift card. Whenever I tried to quiz her about what kind of information she had on me, she would say she wasn’t trying to sell me anything and she would go on about how I may be elegible to win blah blah blah and she only needs to confirm some of my details.

It's not a scam - sort of. I have a feeling this is from using the "Victorian Energy Compare" website whom signed me up without my consent. The lady on the call gave me lots of information regarding how they got my details (she was very polite and helpful) and the only thing I could trace it back to was that. I suggest politely asking for details if you get a call to figure out where it came from.

Sounded like a 'pocket-dial' when I answered both times.
It's now on my Blocked List...

Caller: Belouis

Lady claiming to be from Belouis group. I asked for her web address whilst on the phone. She said I had entered a competition at Woolworths, Coles or Bunnings... which I never do...about 12 months ago. RED FLAG.
Said I had won a laptop, home mini or something else. She wanted to ask me questions about my financial situation to see if i still qualify for their financial advice.

I said I was interested as they sound like a scam. I notice there are many other pages and numbers dedicated tot he same name and information- so they are doing the rounds on many numbers.

I called the number 0488 838 059 but is says its not in service.
