I got a couple of calls from these guys as well. They said they were calling from "Savings made easy".

I don't know how they got my number but they seemed to know my name.

I answered with my nickname and straight away they said my actual name i.e "Hello Bill speaking" and they replied "Hello William, how are you today?" without missing a beat.

If anyone else had a similar experience it would be great to know as I am worried that my details have been sold onto a list.

This number was to book you for a hearing test. Knew the city I was in to book it. Good old Telstra sell numbers.

Got a call from this number, I don't answer unknown calls unless I'm applying for jobs. Rang them back and voicemail said Savings made easy so guessing some sh*tty insurance or debt help service. Bloody need to stop doing surveys lmao

Call centre for Amplifon. I told them I am not interested and to never call again. At no time have I ever contacted them or agreed to a third party providing my details to them. I was polite to the lady who called because she is just trying to do her job and make a living. Plus these type of workers are treated like rubbish by the business and by the public.

Trying to sell me a “Hi-Pages” subscription for no immediate cost, blah blah blah.

They also knew my name and thought I lived at my previous address. I haven't lived there for almost 4 years. They called everyday at the around the same time for a couple weeks

This number has been trying to call me for weeks, I finally picked up and they said they were from “Savings Made Easy” - energy compare company.
She knew my full name and my old address.
There was music playing in the background - I asked where she was calling from, she said South Africa. I asked her why music was playing in the background (I have worked at Call centres before and they do not play music in background). She said to lighten the mood and increase team morale. Plus the caller ID is a mobile number. Clearly a scam.
She wanted to arrange for a technician to call me. I told her I wasn’t interested and she stayed very persistent for me to stay on the phone - talking over me.
Never give away any personal details to anyone that calls you that you don’t know.

Very bad connection but beware- said they were from Savings Made Easy. Background noise meant that I ended call. Spam alert

I've received a call 3 times in the last 4 days- I hate answering unknown numbers but as this is an AU mobile I thought it could be someone confirming an appointment so answered without speaking - the first time they said Hello, but it almost sounded robotic- second time went to Voicemail they didn't leave a message, and just then I answered and didn't speak and they said nothing at all. Aren't we a bit beyond telemarketers these days? Surely they realise we don't like them
