In response to an unsolicited call to my wife's mobile phone (the caller knew my wife's name), I called the number back. I asked for and got the company's ABN 66 644 605 363. This checks out on the ATSIC ABN lookup site.

The company is registered with ATSIC ACN 644 605 363.

However, the main business address is a residential property in Mermaid Waters, Qld. The postal address for service of notices is a P.O. Box number and the person who answered the phone was quite heavily accented.

So the business has legitimate registrations and appears to be legal.

What is disturbing is that they had my wife's full name and mobile phone number.

I called back and an asian lady answered and knew my name :O

I called back on private and it had a beep, then a lady who sounded Filipino said “Thankyou for calling back super information... hello hello?” It was so weird I hung up. Obvious scam. These 0488 numbers are all scams
