They have moved from a JB Gift draw to Amazon gift draw. Different day still a scam.

Caller: Amazon

Sent me a text message saying: AMAZON: Your payment $2769.99 for Sony 55" LED 4K UHD SMART TV on 2021/05/25 was successful, Call Us: (03) 9005 7441 for any help. Good Day

Called the land line number from secure land line number ....continued to tell me they were from Amazon and told me my postal address and even my zip pay balance which and I gave them NO info....they then told me that they would refund the purchase price to my credit card if I gave them the details.....I told them I hadnt paid any funds and if they wanted to send me money to do so by way of cheque.....he got cranky at this stage and insisted debit card or visa card was the only option...I told him I wasnt prepared to give any of this information, at that point he said that when he hangs up I will be charged and told me that I had wasted his time and my time!!

Sounded very believable and can understand how people can get scammed!!

obviously not legitimate auspost.. aus post will never ask you to pay any 'owed' shipping.

Received SMS saying:
Parcel: AU-52M20A28 to 0410 556 028 is waiting at our distribution center. Authorization w/out signature is required to complete shipping : 5kif.site/M0VO

I didn’t bother clicking link. I didn’t order any parcels. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

I got the same job hi fi text. Knew it was a scam as soon as they asked for postage before sending my new iPhone.

SMS stating You made a purchase in our JB-stores in 2020 and entered our draw by doing this - You have won a gift : then a link for you to click (DON'T CLICK looks like a scam)

Definitely a scam. Not that I was expecting a parcel from o/s hubby does order the odd thing or 10. UPS could not find the parcel number within the last 6 months. Number blocked.
