Likely overseas call centre. Could hear the background noise, heard a 'hello' and that was it.

Caller: SF company

Stated that I signed up for a trade account with her company. I asked where shes calling from. England. I said you sound like you are calling from a Phillipines call centre. I dont understand what you want. I have a do not call number and in Australian law, you can not call me. When i questioned what 'her' company sold that I allegedly need a trade account for. She hung up.

Scammer pretending to care for you to get you transfer the money.

Rang twice and then hang up I do not normally answer unknown callers. This going to the “Do Not Answer” category

A woman said I had $450 us in a trading account and has been idle for 2 years. They call themselves X trading or something. I new it was s scan and played along until she got annoyed and hung up.

Caller: some (fake) trading company

Called my daughter and claimed she had set up a trading account with her email address (legit address rarely used). My daughter did well and told this person false information about herself (May have to change her email account though).

Said hello only wasnt going to give away my name.

Called twice. Didn't leave a message. Consistent with above experiences that suggest this is a spam/phishing operation.

Called at 1851 on 27/01/2020. No answer. No VM left.

called but didn't leave message, phoned back dial tone sounding like an OS call
