Message saying a new device has been logged in and dosnt say to what but has a link i am not pressing

Scammer number texting with the below, I don’t have kids…

Hi mum ive smashed my phone. Can you whatsapp me heres my new number 614858 55357 x, it is urgent please

Caller: I don't know.They left a message

" Hi mum ive smashed my phone. Can you whatsapp me heres my new number 0422 135 842 x, it is urgent please"
Somewhat believable so I did.
On whatsapp the conversation continued...it too was somewhat believable up until they asked to borrow $4250 to pay some urgent bills and to buy a new iphone 14 and promised to pay it back... I offered to loan an old phone and for them to present the bills so I could pay for them on my credit card...last comment "ok mumx". (my kids do not call me mum or put x after a sentence)
