Nearly got caught out by the scam. I saw the message about an unauthorized transaction on my account and asked me to log in to Commonwealth Bank Account. So I phoned the Mobil number that phoned me. Jeff answered and hung up. I was suspicious and checked the internet. Luckily I found this site. PEOPLE. PLEASE DONT RESPOND TO MESSAGE

"You've completed a transaction for X on X date"
Prompts you to click a link to Commonwealth Bank

Guy called Jeff who sends hoax text messages to commbank customers that there may have been an unauthorised transaction made from their account, and it will say the date and time. Then asks you to click on a link that takes you to a fake login page to attempt to steal your internet banking login details. If there is suspicious activity on your account, the bank will call you - not send a text and ask you to login.

Said that my NAB account had been suspended and to go through a link to log back in

Scam message pretending to be Commbank.

Message stating of a 'suspicious transaction of ___ AUD', and includes link to a fake commonwealth bank login. Definitely a scam, don't insert your details on the website given.

I got the same text. Do you know where I can report this to?

Scammer preying on people with a fake login page to steal your money. Don't click on it, but do report it.

My husband received a text msg from that number saying from commbank. It's a scam.
