Olivia from Telstra said that my internet was being hacked and she wanted me to go into my C drive and delete my event viewer folder, then to confirm I had done this while she waited on the line. NOT!!!

Sarah from Telstra ... told me my internet was being shut down tomorrow if I didn't follow her instructions. Asked her if her parents would disgusted if they found out what she's doing ..

Call from Telstra NBN wanting me to access my computer immediately otherwise internet would be turned off. Stated his name was Alex William when asked for his number and I would call him back he gave me 14 digits. The number he phoned on was recorded on my phone as the above number.0452 147 854 Beware!!!

called every single line in our business about 10 times each ... half with the story that they are "Sarah from Telstra calling about our internet being hacked ... etc", the other half with an automated message that says "goodbye"

Malcom from Telstra (apparently) told me I need to log onto my computer as I have an internet problem. I hung up on him and he immediately rang back telling me if I didn't log on to my computer I would be inundated with phone calls. When I told him I was going to ring Telstra to check his story he actually told me to go right ahead and then I could ring him back. He actually gave me a number to ring him back. He rang back again and when my husband answered he hung up!

Just had the same thing - pretending to be Telstra saying I had malware. The call sounded dodgy and when I started probing her she hung up.

Received a call from 0452 147 854 from some Indian scammers pretending to be from Telstra. Couldn't even understand their terrible English and they gave up 😂 Called Telstra and reported their number!!

Had this call come through on my landline just now. Hung up straight away when I heard "This is Telstra and we are calling about a problem with your Internet ....". Firstly, I'm not with Telstra. Secondly, even if I were they wouldn't call me about it that way. Good to see my hunch was right after coming on here and checking.

Same as everybody else. claimed from Telstra saying my internet would be cut of for 15 days. Said there was hack on the line and they need to go into my system and fix the problem. As soon as I said Telstra would never ring for this type of problem and would never ring on a mobile they hung up. I have reported this number to Telstra.

These people are criminals.
Do not answer this number. If you do any of the things they ask you to do you are likely to seriously regret it.

Just had "Michael" from Telstra Tech support ring me about junk files being downloaded onto my computer and he was going to help me remove them. When I told him I had googled his number 0452 147 854 and it is listed on this website as a scam with complaints - he became very abusive, and there was no confusion with any language barrier or accent, at the profanities he was calling me! Please be aware - this is a scam and they are persistent. This was the 5th call from this number to our house in the past 2 days.

Female caller with indianish accent claiming to be from Telstra technical department and my internet was going to be disconnected. As I am not with Telstra (and would doubt any such call even if I was) questioned why they were calling Telstra wholesale do not ring other providers customers even if they pay Telstra for infrastructure use. They hung up.. Second time this fortnight I've had such a call

Have called landline several times but have not answered. Number came up on voicemail, checked the number up to find a scam. no message left. called again 15mns later and let it go to message bank again. I do not answer or return calls I do not know.
