As soon as I listed a car in Gumtree, I received this: "I'm Samantha, Is your vehicle listed still available? Contact me to my email cravsamanth @ gmail.com if you still have it for sale. Email only, No text pls.
I googled the email address and I found many complaints about it.
What do you want my email for???

Same issue here, claiming to be Samantha Holmes in Darwin wanting to buy car unseen and get a courier to pick it up. Email has changed to samanthboat @ gmail.com

Same as all above after posting car for sale on gumtree samanthboat @gmail.com Claimed to be sqd ldr on deployment and that her agent would pick the car up and take to Darwin. Asking questions that are all answered in the ad if you look at it. Ask for paypal email address. Also language in text appears to be broken english

Exactly the same message re a car ad on Gumtree, the entire bull**** story of being in Darwin etc.
Don't go giving her any bank account details

I also had a car ad on gumtree and had the same response, email me only and that she is a solider in Darwin. The email requested my bank details and claims she has a courier who will come and collect it. Does anyone know how the scam works ? Are they after my identity?

I thought is bogus just by the wording of the text and searched her name, scammer.

i receivced a text about my caravan ad stating all of the above asking for bank details or paypal email seems to good to be true lucky I found this and the number that texted me was 0436 597 000

Rec'd text, asking to reply by email only same as other comments about ad on Gumtree, but the email is samanthahomesfez @ gmail.com

Soldier on deployment wanting to buy caravan, sight unseen. Originally texted only (phone calls apparently unavailable from where she was!!!!) and then changed to email only and wanted bank account details. Didn't hear from again when this was refused!

Apparently Telstra informing NBN maintenance. Not a customer, nor have NBN. Not clicking on the URL.

SMS supposedly from Telstra informing NBN service interruption on Nov 6. Gives a link to telstra.com/servicestatus - I'm not a Telstra customer, nor do I have NBN, so guess its scam? Not clicking on the link anyway.....
