Had a conversation with a guy who called himself John Taylor, called from mobile numbers staring with 0435 152 ending in 513/503/529/471 and also 0435 169 968 told me he was from Australian Institute of Police and wanted to sell me a spot in their upcoming journal. He didn't like it when i started asking questions and was very arrogant and rude on the phone esp when i questioned his terrible sales pitch and lack of information he could provide and he wouldn't put anything in an email or writing to me. I got calls consistently over 3-4 days, finally got annoyed enough to tell him i knew he was a scammer and to p-off and he responded accordingly :) LOL..

Someone called and hang up before I could answer. Googled the number and found this thread! Thanks for the heads up, I won't return the call.

Received a call from Daniel claiming he was from AIPOL asking for money and that they would advertise my business in their journal. Similar to the above story. I asked where he got my number from and he said Facebook! I asked for his website and contact details and he said he would call me back. Not going to pick up if he does!
I emailed AIPOL about it but have yet to hear from them either. Googled his number and found this website of complaints.

Scam alert. Peter Saying he’s from the police. Asking if I owned a business and he quickly hung up when I said no.

some guy calling himself George Papadopolous who had an english accent., He was trying to find out more info on me so I hung up. I tried calling back to see if he would answer but was constantly engaged. Scammers for sure.

Called asking if I was owner of the business. When I asked which business he couldn't tell me. Told him he should know which business he was trying to reach as he was the one who called.
Said he represented Neighbourhood Watch - similar to below complaint review mentioning Aust Inst of Police.
SCAMMERS - tell them to P-Off!

i couldnt call back. Messgae saying dont leave message. Shed call me back????
