Yes its a scam number so is 0431 078 695 0431 454 686 0431 474 879 0449 890 049 0451 470 355 0413 307 909. Its a fishing scam to get your information, and want money to advertise in a fake publication. Its a woman and two blokes that go by the name of Jack Jones and Bob Jones. Called QLD police and those numbers are not assosicated with them or their Union. Also they would be calling from a landline, but police can track a land line so the scammers use mobiles. Also reported those numbers to Scam watch. Download an app on your phone and you can block those numbers

Missed call, no message - suspect hoax call

SCAM ALERT - They are a company calling businesses around Australia claiming to represent the Emergency Services / Police / Fire Diary and offering advertising space in a bogus publication - the diary does not exist. if you are contacted by them please report the phone number and any other info they give you - to your state office of Fair Trading (https://www.qld.gov.au/law/fair-trading/) and if anyone claims to be a police officer you should also report them for that to Police Link 131444. Don't part with your money! Call received twice in 1 day on the Gold Coast Australia.

Yes - there will be scams out there, but some reputable ones are not

not a scam i work in the industry before u start making assumptions and slander yourself make sure you have a handle on the true facts.

Total scam.. This time it was 'peter' from the police institute. Told him I checked & was a scam - still had a follow up call from a lady trying to get money? Different names, same scam..

Yes I just had a call asking to advertise in the magazine also told him to bugger off told him I had goolgled his number and he is a scam bastard this is the 3rd call I have had in 3 weeks

Had a call from a very poorly spoken young man claiming to work for the institute of police. Asked how he got my number he said it was in the internet. I said no to advertising and he was quite acceptable of that. I didn't realise until now it was a scam :/

A woman rang from this number saying she was from the Police Institute asking for money for advertising in their magazine. She was very pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer and wouldn't email anything when I asked.

Received a call to pay money to publish my business in a police run publication.. total scam I said where are you calling from and he couldnt answer

Call back message says you have called and outbound only number, then hangs up ...some marketing thing

I received a call, when I tried calling bak is says it's an outbound number only.

This number and three others tried to convince my wife that they were from Qld. Paramedics. The numbers are:

They wanted $550 for her to advertise her business in some publication, just like the other 'police' scams. Where do I get that blocking app????

Rang today. Claimed to be a member of the WA police force. needed to speak to business owner. was very abrupt. Asked owner for $895 to advertise in a police diary then offered a lower friendship deal of $295. when owner said we had no funds in the marketing budget he called him a liar and hung up

Same deal here: didn't leave a voicemail, when I tried back it was busy.

I'm on a roll with these scammers: last week I had "VR Magazine" call me (silent number) to advise that my magazine was ready. I said "whatever". Then 3 days later in the post was their undated magazine (with no issue number!) containing "my ad" and a bill for $290. Some poor b@stards out there would be too busy to look closely and would just pay it.

Called me today. Said he was Phil from the Police Institute asking if I wanted to advertise in an upcoming fund raising Golf day in Coffs Harbour. Seemed to know I was ex police. When I said NO, he hung up. I tried calling him several times but he would hang up before answering so I guess he is a fraud.
