I received a similar message from the same number, it said
"NAME, you received (1) new photo message: http://goo.gl/xyz123"
NAME was my actual short name that my friends use, and xyz123 is in place of the actual google shortened URL. I was waiting from a photo so stupidly clicked on the link. The link took me to a dodgy Woolworth's voucher with a dodgy URL, asking for more personal details. I closed the page immediately.
The Australian Government's ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) has a service to help monitor (not necessarily STOP) spam SMS
If in doubt read more here: http://www.acma.gov.au/theACMA/spam-report-spam OR Google search: stop spam SMS Australia
The ACMA page also suggest that replying "STOP" to the spamming number is a valid way to stop future SMS
Also, you can report to Google that their link shortener is being used to send spam go to at this link: http://goo.gl/#reportspam OR Google search for: Google url shortener report spam
In terms of the cost of the SMS to reply to the spammers number 0428 031 585) it cost me a standard text cost. I am not advocating you should reply or not, it’s just that I had already stupidly clicked on the link and I was worried that this had signed me up or registered my number, so I also replied "STOP" to the spammer.
The spammer’s replied by SMS straight away with:
"You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number"
It has been a week now and I have not received anything further. Also, no unexpected large costs on my phone so far. I hope this is the end of it.
Note: this is a repost of a similar comment that I submitted to the website 'reverseau' which hasn't yet been published. ...so my message is not spam... well not really :-)

Do not click on the link. It would probably hack into your phone and access everything else and forward to others.

This number sent me a txt, using my name, and a link to a photo - definitely dodgy. I would say it's linking spyware to your phone as soon as you click the link. DELETE DELETE BLOCK
