Asked for the Mr (I'm a Ms), then proceeded to advise this call is in regards to my electrical account - which I do not have, as the account for my rental is held by another flatmate. I told them as such, ad they asked to speak to them, which I refused as I was at work. They sounded surprised and confused, and hung up.

Presumably this is a marketing call, there was a connection gap when I answered and there was no answer when I called them back.

They called today at 3:12pm. When answered they hung up. Tried calling back and the number isnt in service anymore. Get these types of call all the time. Sick of it. Why is nothing being done about it?

They are still at it. When I answered, all I got was a recorded “good by”. Have blocked the #.

Someone with a thick foreign accent called about the energy price increase...
I hung up after several yes no questions.. I tried calling the number back and it goes straight to a message to say the mailbox is full and can’t recieve calls or messages.

Just received a call & as soon as I said "Hello" they hung up

This number is marketing scam.

I had a similar experience just now. When I politely enquired who they were, they listed a number of energy suppliers, none of whom I am now associated with. They asked if I was and I politely said that I declined to answer, then enquired why they were calling, whereupon they hung up. Called the number but it was unavailable. It was a woman's voice with a curious accent that drifted from possibly a faintly Scottish through to a possibly faintly English-Tagalog.

Addressed me by correct surname and claimed to be from 'Energy Connect', however then said that i was with one of their energy retailers before listing two separate companies. I suspected scam or marketing scam at this point and said goodbye, ending the call. Came from mobile number. Delay before hearing person speak, sounded like foreign call centre, and caller had a thick Indian accent moreso than I'd expect from a usual call centre.

Called but I didn't answer. I expected them to call as they know the best time to call me. Every peace of information given to them is kept to use.
