0424 769 294 AND 0421 527 138 are BOTH call centre numbers used by FREEDOM INSURANCE. They usually only allow the phone to ring 2 to 3 times and hang up. IF you had rung that number back, you would have gotten a RECORDED MESSAGE to say you had been contacted by an "authorised representative" from FREEDOM INSURANCE. IF they continue to ring you .... either RING them on 1300 88 44 88 -OR- email them (service @ freedominsurance.com.au) and have them REMOVE your phone number OFF their list and ask them NOT TO RING in the future. ALSO ring the DO NOT CALL REGISTER (who will tell ALL telemarketing organisations NOT to ring your specified number). The DNC Register can be rung on 1300 792 958 or visit their website: www.donotcall.gov.au. It takes about 30 days for telemarketing organisations to receive and process your DO NOT CALL request (once registered with this Govt organisation). Once activated, the DO NOT CALL request is active for 8 (YES! EIGHT) years (and then you can renew again!). NOTE: If you change your phone number (mobile or landline), then remember to DEACTIVATE your DO NOT CALL option. The next owner of your old phone number can make his or her own arrangements with matters of this nature.

0424 769 294 went to voicemail (softly spoken female with ?chinese accent and a personal message) and 0421 527 138 was answered by a husky voiced Australian female. When I asked her 'is this Freedom Insurance' she paused, then said 'ok'. I said again 'is this Freedom Insurance?' and she said "Oh, I thought you said 'This is Freedom Insurance... nah, nah this is not Freedom Insurance'. She sounded relieved. I said 'You don't sell insurance then?' and she 'No, nah I can't help you love". We 'Ok byed'
Marie, what causes you to believe these mobile numbers are used by Freedom Insurance? Please let us know.
Remember, there is such a thing as 'caller ID spoofing'. All a scammer needs is a spoofing service or spoofing device, and they can ring someone, and select ANY NUMBER THEY WANT TO DISPLAY as their Caller ID. There are tonnes of complaints on the net about calls from the hundreds of 'outbound Caller ID lines' that companies like Freedom are allocated by their service provider (whether that be wired or cloud-based). This makes these numbers easy picking for scammers who use spoofing. These outbound lines CANNOT accept incoming calls. They all go to voice recording, if set up. If voice recording is not set up, the service provider will report that that the number you have called is 'disconnected'.
These numbers are all wide open for misuse by scammers using caller ID spoofing. It gives them a 'front'. When someone sees a missed number and rings back on the spoofed (displayed) number, they go through to the voice recording of the company and assume its legit, and that they were contacted for the purpose of signing up for a financial service or fundraising or whatever they do. They are left none the wiser as to the true ID of the caller and their motive. Let's say they are interested in signing up for insurance or donating for fundraising purposes, when they see the same number ring again (legit or spoofed), they may answer and sign up, giving away their personal details in the process to someone they believe a legitimate representative of the company. All the scammer has to do is pull off a convincing spiel and collect details as if he or she is such. This spoofing scam runs on the misguided belief of most people that you can't fake a number (landline or mobile). Not true both can be spoofed and faked. They simply don't know about 'Caller ID spoofing' (I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO GOOGLE THE SUBJECT). High time our govt outlaw caller ID spoofing. Every day the govt delay acting on this, they leave the public vulnerable to financial scamming.

I was offered death insurance by freedom insurance - The policy started at $8.75 - I was going thru my bank statement seeing deductions from? Noble oak insurance? (and? i kindda thought/assumed that mmm it was my house insurance changing their trading name) and left it - I rechecked, cuz my bills account was 'seemingly' needing more top up than usual - I then noticed that they have been charging me a whoping $94.50 (for the past 2 months @ ie 2x 94,50) - Oh man, this really infuriated me - I rang on a saturday, .. there are two contact numbers (one for freedom 1300 884 488) amd one for Nobleoak 1300 041 494) - The deductions come from NobleOak - I 'seems to me that they must have done that on purpose to make people think as I did, ... making it look like a change of trading names to house insurances - My suggestion is, Do not buy insurance if they call you, you call 'other life ' insurance companies if you need any, buut?, don't buy from them if they call you - Cheer :)

I have been receiving two to three phone calls per day from Freedom Insurance with them using the following numbers: 082792965/66/69. allowing the phone to ring 2 to 3 times.

A guy called Sean from Freedom Insurance called from (02) 8279 2969 said his referral someone called Jenny from ACRS? Referrals - ALL a SCAM from Freedom Insurance 1300 884 488

I recently switched to Aldi mobile and pretty soon these sus calls began. Not a co-incidence
because when I reported to my local Aldi, was told Aldi mobile is NOT ASSOCIATED with Aldi stores!?!?

This Insurance company is annoying the hell outta of me. They called 5-6 times per day and I have put them on Call Block. But seeing the Call Log on the same number shows they are so persistent and nuisance esp when I am waiting for other calls on work.

ring me constantly but never leave a message have blocked them but they still ring why can't they get the message i am not interested.

Just answered a call from the above number saying I had won a funeral insurance policy!!
He then requested full name, address etc.
I said that you just told me I have won, so why should I pay for a won policy!.
I then hung up.
