When they ring and I answer they put the phone down, they send the same text as above and they also leave voice-mail messages with the same message with a reference to call back with. They never indicate what the reference is for or why they are calling. Good luck finding ange though.

Debt collectors haha..NOT..lying scammers

I had a call from "No Caller ID" and then the same text message as mentioned by Bob. If they have all my details and are debt collecting then they can send me a letter or an email, not demand to be called back. I thought it seemed a bit dodgy.

Received two missed calls yesterday and one SMS today. Missed calls were from blocked numbers, SMS came through on 0424 472 450 and asked to call back on 1300 789 037. Smells like a scam.

SMS message said:
"ARL; We tried calling you but could not get through. Please call 1300 789 037 OR reply CALLME and we will attempt to call you back today. Quote Ref DNXXXXXXXXX"

They texted claiming to be a company called ARL and demanded to be called urgently about money we owed. this was followed up by a phone call. the land line number they provided was 1300 303 853 which is registered as a supplier of solar panels. Very suspicious - recommend not giving out any details whatsoever.
