Possibly the most amateurish scammer I have heard so far. He said he is from Telstra and that my computer is downloading corrupt files and he can fix it "with charges" of $100. The fact I am with Optus seemed to make no difference. I suggested he improve his patter if he expects to succeed in his scam!

Said it was Telstra and they will cut off my internet in 2 hours....I immediately hung up!

As soon as I said hello ,they hung up. I called the number and it went to message bank as they were unavailable

Caller: Telstra Informing me that they will cut my internet in 2 hours time as my computer has downloaded files that can be damaging to my devices. Phoned me on my Business line and is not linked to my internet.
