Traced this call back to India....(Mumbai) This is what is known as a 'Piggy Backed' call......they by a number from Telstra / Optus to use....make the call from India by the time we get to see the number it shows as a NORMAL mobile or PSTN line number. Used similar to a 1800 number. This is a criminal organisation in India. Calling on behalf of Cancer Foundation/research and use children as a heart wrenching introduction. Indians will stop at nothing.....simply hangup. This started when our leaders thought to take all our jobs overseas....they forgot that personal databases also went with them. Leave you to work out the rest.....remember....NOTHING is private anymore!

Got this call from Kids for Cancer, thanks for your time blah blah , then a big spiel - i tried to interrupt to say not interested - saying hello repeatedly - but the spiel kept on , obviously a recording when at first you think you are speaking to a real person - i guess after the spiel they come back on live to talk but ....i just hung up

Their call to me was so important that they didn't leave a message on my voicemail.

Hung up as soon as I answered. Promotion agency saving on call costs so we call them back. Not sure why - it's a tax right off for them.

CALLED MY MOB TODAY, I DID'T ANSWER. NO MSG LEFT. JUST LOOKED IT UP AND READ THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS. I BLOCKED THIS NUMBER, BUT NO DOUBT THEY WILL COME UP WITH A NEW NUMBER. MY ADVICE - IF YOU DON'T RECOGNISE THE NUMBER, DON'T ANSWER IT. IF IT'S IMPORTANT AND REAL CALL, A MSG WILL BE LEFT, IF NO MSG, MOST LIKELY A "SCAM CALL."

I received a call from 0420 101 265. I picked up, they listened to me answer and just hung up. Then I found that it is scam number from this site so I am blocking it. FYI: I received an ASIC Alert re scams recently. It appears that a new type scam is being done.... they call you, hang up so you get a missed call, then when you try calling back the mobile they somehow can access your mobile and data. Not sure how that is done but I won't take the risk of calling back from my mobile. I had called another caller but used the office landline.... got some message stating to press a number. I just hung up and blocked that one too.

Caller: Several I do not use Windows but I used to get calls stating that they were form " Telstra's Technical Department " and that they had seen a virus on my Windows Computer. I t was no use trying to tell them that I did not have Windows, they just rambled on and on. One guy even rang back when complaining that I had hung up on him, sic!

Indian Call Centre, looking for people to donate to a "charity"... Sure, I'll donate money via Western Union. Better yet, why don't I just give you my credit card so you can just take the money you need each month? I don't think so...
