Just got an Indian guy called me asking with unname surname, and I told him you called wrong number, but he confirmed my number, then start asking my personal information and said I must be working in Sydney. HOWEVER I am currently unemployed and living in QLD, then I asked him where you from, what's his name and why if you work for government but using a private mobile number to contact with clients. Then the guy just hand off directly and really rude!

Man with Indian accent asked to speak to me but when I asked what he was ringing about he hung up on me.

Received numerous calls from this number asking for a non existent person. They claimed to be from smart rates. Very persistent. Always hung up if u ask too many questions.

Got a call from this number today, when I answered a recorded voice said Goodbye. Some loser who hasn't got a life.

Same here. Been trying to get rid of them for months now. 1st call from "no number" and a follow up from a mobile. I have blocked that mobile and now this one too.

Consistently receive calls from this mobile number preceded by a "private number" call. As I never answer unidentified numbers it seems to trigger an immediate follow up call from this mobile number. Then three messages left on voicemail - total silence. This is weird. Just block the number.

Keep getting calls from this number. When you ring back no one answers. Sick of these nuisance calls. It used to only be land lines, now it has gone to mobile numbers.

Got a call from this number. It sounded like an Indian call centre with lots of background noise. They knew my surnename so I suppose they got my number from the phone book. I just hung up as soon as they started talking about govt tax refunds. I tried to call the number back straight away to check who it was and got a message was not connected. Obviously a scam.

Sounds like an Indian call centre. The caller tries to get personal information out of you, claiming to help you with an investment or government tax benefit.

Seems to know my name and address from the phone directory.

Tell them nothing. You could just leave the phone off the hook while they talk to thin air if you feel like it. :)

Trying to give advice on a government tax policy. I hung up.

This Indian sounding gentleman only knew my surname. Didn't understand when I said it was me. Said they were from Smart (something). Was trying to sell me something or save me something. I just replied that I am hanging up and hung up. Now I will block him.

Received a call from this number with the person at the end telling me that they worked for the government finance and wanted to discuss a new tax policy offer with me. I responded with "oh really, I work for the government too" and they hung up.

I received the same this afternoon.

A guy with Indian accent wish to provide me information on government tax benefit as a property owner, and begin to ask "Do you own a property"?
When I tried to ask him "Where you calling from"? "Who are you"? and "What is this call for"? he hand up the call without a word.
