Overseas scammer using a spoofed (fake) number. Suspect they could be a debt collector calling from an overseas (Philippines by the accent) call centre. They asked for a specific person and said they were "Impact on behalf of Telstra Recoveries".

I hung up

I returned a call from this number 0416 016 931 but no one answered the call

Wanted personal details

Said they were from something Finance with important issue to discuss. Although I have no loans or anything. They asked for my date of birth which screams scam to me.

Said it was in relation to Telstra. I don’t have accounts with them. I called Telstra directly not record of me.

I rang back the number 0416 016 931, spoke with someone who hung up right away
