Hi Sarah. Yes, we too went to Fair Trading and VCAT, all with the same result. The address I had was fake and emails were not answered. VCAT got no reply on the phone numbers supplied. The hearing at VCAT was scheduled, but nobody showed. Been to police, but they say it is a civil case and don't want to know about it, although they are skating on the brink of fraud. We have been had for about $ 3100.00 and are now considering going to TV to see if they can at least expose these characters on their current affairs shows, to make the public aware what they do, as they are still advertising!

Follow up on our case against Craig Dennis and Hayden Rumble: The address I had for Craig Dennis for our VCAT hearing is no longer valid and so the hearing did not result in any positive outcome. Messages go unanswered and I have not seen them advertise anymore either. Anyone know anything else about them?

Craig sent a guy to us to do a quote and after 30 mins of work ripped me of 300 I gave them a cheque thinking I could cancel it I called Craig to tell him about this guy and he threaten me with violence if I canceled the cheque and said I needed a good f&@king and I was tight. It hasn't been till now that I can complain as we have sold our property we have the police involved and consumer affairs now so don't trust Craig Dennis , if anyone has his address please post it as I wouldn't mind sending so people to sort him out

We booked ADCD Mowing to attend to our garden while we were interstate (and had our property tenanted). Craig, the manager gave us ADCD's bank account number and we transferred $40 each month for 7 months. When we returned, we discovered that ADCD had never attended and that our tenants had done the gardening. Initially Craig apologised and admitted not having ever turned up saying he only vaguely remembered the agreement and that the account we transferred the money into was no longer used by clients (he was the one who gave us that bank account number!)but the refund never came. When we phoned again he started shouting agressively.Then Consumer Affairs rang him three times and he shouted at them and then hung up on them!! ADCD have stolen $280 of our money. They are immoral rogues and scoundrels with no honour. DO NOT USE ADCD Mowing!!!

Hayden Rumbel landscaper goes under several different spellings of his name and changes his mobile phone numbers regularly. He is also known as Hayden Rumbole and Hayden Rumble and has been convicted under Criminal Law under Family Violence matters. His partner, Katie Lord can be reached on 0475 031 103.

Katie Lord has paid back only $200.00 of the nearly $15K that they owe us. This has been outstanding for a year. She is a partner to Hayden's landscaping fraud scheme and future employers should be aware of Katie Lord's history of dishonest and deceitful conduct.

Kate Lord and Hayden Rumbel have also left a trail of destruction with a Child Care Centre in Epping North, Pensioners a few doors up as well as Ms Garcia from Mill Park.

Buyers should definitely beware when dealing with these individuals. If you have been affected by Katie Lord or Hayden Rumble report to VCAT and Consumer Affairs.

I just don't understand how nothing can be done. We too were taken for a ride and I have tried to go down the VCAT path with no luck. There must be someway of stopping Hayden who is an obvious thief. Any suggestions before someone else suffers? He got us late last year.

I don't recall, Her claims seem far fetched, I have never, nor would speak to some one in the manner that this person claims.
If You read this reply Sarah, feel free to call Me and discuss the matter, don't be afraid, I will not talk to You or treat You in the manner that You have suggested.

We also used Hayden Rumbel. We live in Eltham and got his details from an ad in the leader. We gave him more than $2000 to buy the plants etc ., and we never saw him again. I had his banking details and they wrote to him but nothing ever eventuated. We can't seem to do anymore as we have no contact details for him. He is a thief and a very unpleasant man. Do not deal with him.

Hi Hank, Sorry to hear about your experience. We unfortunately have had a similar experience with Hayden Rumbel who we have paid just under $15K to, and received only about $2- 3K worth of work (some minor tree removal).

You may like to be aware that the Leader newspaper is running a story with photography on our situation. I probably can't assist you getting your money back (nor ours) but we can avoid this happening to others. If your willing to come forward with your story, the media are poised to have a field day with this scam artist.

We are having the same issue with story simular to ours. We did more money though. Hayden Rumbel has a history of this kind of deception!

We phoned 0415 692 957 in October 2013 for quote for landscaping. We spoke to Craig Dennis, who referred us to Hayden Rumble. 2 other quotes were also obtained, but we decided to give the job to ADCD after we received the quote from Hayden, who told us the job could be done in about 6 days. We needed to pay the cost materials up front ($4303.oo!). In total 2, or 3 men did about 8 hours work, scraping some surface dirt and digging a foundation for a retainer wall. Concrete was poured in a sloppy way and at the wrong levels, compared to an existing foundation for a matching wall. We estimate the value of work done was about $ 1050 (even though it was done wrong and needed correcting. However that was the last we saw them. They kept promising to complete the job, forcing us to stay home for access to power and for access to part of the job, but they never came, leaving us with piles of dirt on the green strip between the footpath and the road and in 1 corner of our front garden. After 7 weeks we requested a refund which we were promised, but never got, owing us around $3250, plus cost of some plants which died in the mean time, getting potbound.
Consumer affairs were promised they would make contact with us, but that never happened. VCAT just advised us the address we had for ADCD in Diamond Creek was no longer occupied by them! Since then I had to do the job myself as I could not afford another landscaper to do the job. Trust Craig Dennis and employees? NEVER!

ADCD Hayden has ripped us off after he got $6,700 advanced payment for landsacping in our property & accepted the job that Hayden said that the job will be finished in 6 days but it is already 6 weeks not even half of the work was done. He did a dodgy land wrecking in our property.
