Received a call this morning from this number with a middle aged sounding women claiming she was from ‘Australian Contact Centre’ I said who??? She repeated it. I said ‘What do you want?’ And she asks me ‘Have you heard of Virgin before?’ I said ‘Have you been told to f**k off lately?’
She hung up the phone.

I just received a call on my mobile from this number the guy said his name was Jason from com bank wanting to sell me life insurance. told me I was being recorded and asked for my name unwittingly I gave it to him I told him I wasn't making any dissension and would have to talk to my husband. he asked for my post code I didn't give that to him he then asked if this was a Sydney number i said no he asked what suburb i was in i stupidly told him. it wasn't until l i hung up bells begin to ring he did say someone will call me back next week he sounded very professional.
now I"m worried i just got scammed what do I do now., I still have his number

I got a call from this mob of grubs last night,but didnt answer it.I will not answer any call if I dont know the number.They are now blocked :)

Called me on Tuesday 26/06/18 and Saturday 30/06/18 from 0402 591 376. Missed both calls. Blocked after reading the comments.

I didn't quite catch the rest and when I asked him where was he from, he hung up. I foolishly rang back and got an automated message "Australian Contact Centre".

They can use a program called random digit dialling where a computer just randomly generates numbers until it reaches a connected phone number.

Called my mother's phone, I answered. Guy said he was "Chris from Smart Switch" in an Australian accent. He asked me about my private health insurance (I have none as I am not wealthy), when I said this he asked me if I was considering it. I said no, he hung up

I saw a call come through to my mobile from 0402 591 376 but didn't answer it. Luckily my mobile has a warning that comes up stating possible spam. When I see that warning, I generally never answer and google to see if anyone else had received calls from the same number, then I block them. Just letting you know that they are getting smarter, I had 3 previous callers come through on a private number which did not show on my mobile and they were scammers too trying to sell insurance and one from the cba to tell me they noticed I don't send money overseas.
