I rang once and got disconnected

Hi I'm writing this because it was hard to find any proper feedback about this on the net, I had texts from Mark saying to call the number and debst may appear on National Default Registry (which is a private company?) and thought it was a scam, I called them as my credit score was going down and I had no idea why I as have no debts or credit cards etc. I asked them to send me an invoice (ecollect which is a legit business) $37 owed to Bondi Civic Video which closed down and they had apparently been sending letters to my old place that I had lived at 4 years ago hence why I never received anything about this, I asked my brother who is an Accountant he advised to just pay it as it can appear on your credit score even though it such a small debt. The invoice is legit and had the videos I had rented and the date, the guy was actually nice and took some of the extra fees off for me,

I would advise calling them and getting an Invoice, double checking it all sounds correct and then paying as soon as you can. I will however have to check if my credit report goes back to normal in the next month to confirm this was the culprit.

Just curious what ended up happening... I've had a text saying to ring Mark on the same number. But looks dodgy so haven't and most likely won't .

This number called me saying I owed "snap fitness" $86.95 when I haven't been to snap fitness for about a year now and left with a medical certificate.
The person let me speak with the manager or give me the name of the company just his name was "Max" and he sounded from a different country. It's a public holiday and everything is shut here so I believe it's a scam but will call snap fitness in the morning to find out the truth

I called back number (03) 9999 7917 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.
