Calling on Landline and Mobile. Is a foreign voice claiming my "Do not Dial" has been cancelled due to me having a Taxation problem. Absolute Scam. Absolute con artists. What is the provider of this number doing to cancel it?

Do not answer this call - it is a scam, fraudsters posing as the ATO saying you owe money after an audit and will want payment via Apple Itunes gift cards.

I received the same phone call and was told that my phone number and address was under surveillance and also that they might issue a warrant arrest against me, this is pone number is a total scam please do not call the number and report it !

Left message saying that I would have something cancelled, possibly my do not call registration, due to tax evasion. It was recommended that I contact my lawyer as there will be a warrant for my arrest (what!!) due to these charges for tax evasion. Clearly a scam, foreign accent, possibly Irish.

Strange that they rang a silent land line number (paid via my ISP), which isn't on the do no call register.

Also received this scam call.
Tried to call back from a mobile - just a beep, indicating that this number functions as a "Link Number" to somewhere else.
Just ignore.

Scammers autoplay message threatening with warrant for arrest over tax evasion and claims phone is under surveilence.

Need to report these scammers to Austraian Federal Police.

Got one of these calls today....what a joke!!!! do not return the call. this is not the ATO. they would never call and threaten with a recorded message.

Called on Landline. Sounded like a robotic message. Messaged talked about tax invasion and that there is a warrant for a arrest - sounds like total B.S. Total a scam!!

Just received recorded message... Very upset, rang my tax agent. They checking with taxation office.

Similar automated message, claimed we had a "Tax avoidance problem" and to get our lawyer to call them! I thought it amusing, but it could distress some innocent people!

Another Tax scam. Do they ever learn?

Not the tax office, this is a scam do not call them back, do not give them any personal details.
