Got a call from Maxwell Solutions at 8pm last night. Typical background noise of an Indian call centre. The spiel from a well scripted male ran on a similar theme to other threads such as govt tax benefits & a product that was free of charge that would halve our tax & allow us to pay off our mortgage in 10 years. Disturbingly, the caller was fairly accurate with our current ages, incomes & mortgage amount. Nobody in our house would have divulged that info to anyone. I feel I may need to contact our bank to inform them of this as our financial info may have been compromised somewhere along the way.

I've had them call so many times and despite saying I don't want them to contact me again they keep calling. I have blocked the number on my phone but they keep coming through as they are calling from different numbers. So I decided if they are going to keep wasting my time I would waste theirs..... I gave them a whole lot of information about how much money I earn and how little I owe on my mortgage (all fake info) and made an appointment for them to visit me at my home, gave them a fake address too..... :-)

I find the best strategy is not to answer. I never bother answering unrecognised numbers. If someone really needs to talk to me they can leave a message. If one of these calls is answered inadvertently, you can always just hang up. You don't owe these people politeness.

I just got a call too. When I get these calls I always insist on their business name and put in google the name and scam and that usually brings up heaps of stuff. So thanks for this guys. You saved me some time! I ask them to send me literature and when they won't I just say I don't want to waste their time - BYE and hang up quickly. Every time my land lines rings it is this sort of thing. I'm going to get rid of my landline. I hate being rude to people and it is such a waste of time.

I have had so many calls from these mongrels both at home & on my mobile. Now I just hang up in their ear or blow a whistle down the phone, maybe they will stop ringing then. And I am on the "do not call" register which makes no difference at all.

Received a call from some numpty (India) from Payless solutions AKA Maxwell Solutions and Information Management Services who appears to know more about my wife and I, and we have not told them any thing about personal details. This Indian (Numpty) was very rude and continued to call and arrange for a Rebecca Williams to meet with us (Best of Luck with that one). Don't give these scammers the time of day and hang up. I have a nuisance call register in place but it seems to be insufficient at times.

Payless Solutions, Government Initiative. aka Maxwell. Running a survey for the local area..No obligation. Just want to give information on 1. minimize tax 2. Pay off mortgage 50% faster. 3. provide information for services in yoiur area.

Calls have come often all this year.... mostly in the evening. Intrusive questions. My and my husband's combined incomes before tax? Who owns the house? Is there a mortgage? How much is owing? Finally , they were so persistent we agreed to a meeting to sort out once and for all who these persistent people with the odd accents really are.

7 PM sharp tuesday night. Noone turned up. Another call the next day. We complained about the missed meeting. They apologized profusely and 4 PM sharp Saturday their rep would be here to explain all about them and what they do. Friday someone called Shane rang to confirm Ben would be here 4PM sharp Saturday.

Now Saturday 6 PM and noone came but while we were waiting another call came from the same company.... with the same spiel.

That was the last straw. This is definitely a scam. Caller was James. Where is your rep due here at 4 PM? He put manager Andrus aka Sam Daniels from South Africa on the line. Andrus went to find Shane. Shane spoke to us but knew nothing. He would find out and call back. He did not.

This is something out of the rabbit hole. Complete chaos and a waste of time!

They usually give a fake name such as Payless Solutions or Maxwell Solutions or Information Management Solutions. They have contacted my phone a number of times.
This is an Indian call centre affiliated with Infotronics Communication Private Ltd in Chennai India. ACMA have given warning notices in the last few years to Infotronics, but to no avail. They have been doing this for four or five years and just totally ignore ACMA and the DO Not Call legislation.
I am on the Do Not Call register and put in another complaint to ACMA as I did in 2014.
They attempt to generate leads and appointments for Australian businesses in Australia. And begin by asking you survey questions about your finance/housing situation, then later set you up with appointments with financial businesses in Australia, with your tentative consent. These businesses are often dodgy. If the contact manages to get this far then it should be possible to get the details of this Australian business that would be in breach of the Do Not Call legislation and then pass on these details to ACMA in your complaint. Then ACMA may be able to take some action against this business. It is not easy as the call centre keep hanging up on you.
You will find more about this call centre by googling 1800 509 443 where there are about 200 other comments going back to 2010.

Just received a call from Ross from Maxwell Solutions telling me we could receive a Government Rebate on our tax and could they make a booking with us to discuss. I said NO and that I would like to check their company out first and asked for their website. Ross said it was www.maxwellsolutions.com.au-Funny NO WEBSITE!- Ross is ringing me back on Friday. I wonder what I will say-GET LOST. Also NO ABN number came up when I searched the ABN site.

I received a call from Maxwell Solutions probably 12 months ago, informing me that they were acting on behalf of the government to conduct a survey which would result in information being provided for tax benefits. I answered some questions, but when they started asking about my income and that of my household I informed them that I no longer wished to participate. I had to be quite stern with the caller as they tried to get me to continue with the survey. About 6 months ago they called back. I told them that I was still not interested and that I wanted them to remove my number from their list. Surprise, surprise, I received another call today. So annoyed!

Dodgy as same thing they sent my husband information he knew nothing about it. I tried to find a website they don't have one, I called 1800 number but it doesn't work & they have no website or ASIC listing.

They did by the way seem to know affair bit about us personally which is a concern.

Lucky he's got my mobile number and I just blocked him on the iPhone after 7 phone calls after I hung up on him.

Ross from Maxwell Solutions called at 5:50pm wanting to talk to my husband whom I advised was about to attend an appointment. He proceeded to talk to me instead about about a Government Initiative to reduce our tax. I asked where he got our details from. He indicated that we had participated in a survey. I told him, "Thank you, we are not interested, have a nice evening" and I hung up.
