scam pretending to be from telstra claiming nbn will be cut off.

Scam recorded message claiming internet will be disconnected. Press 1 to connect to technician, female Indian voice answered. Told them I was fed up with their scam calls, they promptly hung up. Got two of this type of call today, the earlier one was an 02 number which I looked up and found was registered to an Albion Park address.
So many of these numbers on display are spoofed, pity the innocent party who gets abusive calls in return. Communications minister should get off his backside and do something about these useless bastards. .

Greetings, unfortunately after doing some research there are 2 things we need to understand that are NOT explained when you join the DO NOT CALL REGISTER. 1) you need to re-register every 2 years. 2) the register only applies to calls from companies or individuals within Australia; NO WONDER all these call centres are off-shore!!!

The same "robot" message (Nichole) is coming from this number, plus a number of other numbers. Getting pretty tired of them. When do they stop. Surely no one is naive enough to believe them. I could say maybe only "grandma", but I am a "grandma" & I don't believe them.

I checked the DO NOT REGISTER website and it doesn't say that you need to re-register every 2 years. I registered 12 years ago and used their "check" link to see if I was still registered and the response I received was "yes"...

Had two scam calls so far today from this number ... and it's not even midday yet

Caller: Scam NBN caller

A recorded voice told me that my NBN service was about to be disconnected. When I called the number back I was notified that the number was not connected.

Caller: Scammers - supposedly from NBN but they weren't.

Absolute scam. Already twice today and totally fed up. The don't call register is useless. Perhaps a shrill whistle blown down the phone line will deter them.

Called today - robot like voice said press 1 to talk to technician or nbn will be cut off within 24 hours - I hung up

SCAM. (03) 9876 3006. I get cals almost every day that l am at home from this number (and other numbers) saying the same thing 'from NBN landline will be cut off etc'

I am so sick of these calls the last few days they are more more frequent.How can we get rid of them . we all know it is a scam by now . so surely no one falls for it . Hope they don't ,

Another of "scam call" from NBN which we don't answer. Lost count how many numbers they are using. This number was the first they used. Other numbers have been (03) 9822 1315,(03) 9899 8287,(03) 9798 1676,(03) 9899 8287. Getting to the pint of shutting down the landline. It's just ridiculous!

Another of these scam calls - didn't answer this time, but have had 11 "Nbn cut-off" calls from 7 different spoofed numbers this week! No wonder people are getting rid of their landlines.

keeps calling every day know they are scammers so do not answer. have registered with do not call and the calls keep coming what is it with this government that does nothing to stop this ................. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Have had two calls today, did not answer.

I've had 13 of these nbn internet cut off calls in 3 days. The first one 3 days ago was a recorded voice saying they had been trying to contact me for some time. (A lie). The last today started with the same recording. I've been receiving these calls intermittently for some time but not as persistant as the last few days. I tried to phone Telstra nuisance calls but was told I would have to hold on the phone for a minimum of 20 minutes before I would be able to speak to an operator. Not an option for me.
