When I called this number back, I got a 'your call could not be connected, please check the number & try again' message. How do these people get these numbers in the 1st place. I'm getting tired of saving them in my contacts under false names (have a older phone, cannot block them). I'm supposing it was a scam call.

It is a telemarketer. When you phone back, Optus advises that the number was disconnected. Go to Google Maps, paste the address in, select visual layout and you will notice where this call originated from. I live in WA - nearly 5000km away from Narre Warren in Melbourne, I got nothing to do with them at all.

Caller: Very obvious spammers

If you pick up, immediate the number will be shown as a suspected spammer. They don't talk back, only as if they want to check your whereabouts. Block the number.

Yeah same as previous comment, you call the number back and it says it's not connected.
Another scamming spamming idiot.

When I answer it sounds like a call centre but no one speaks - so I add them to my blocked list.
