No message left, callers name unknown to myself

I answered a call to this number (03) 9796 8982 as it called my work number. when I answered it hung up straight away. Thinking I'd missed their call I rang them straight back only to hear ' your call could not be connected please try again later'. I suspect that this is either a SCAM or an automatic dallier that doesn't have anyone on the end of the phone, it simply rings numbers to see if they answer or not, if they do, the number is logged as 'live' and the time you answered logged with it. The number can then be forwarded to whatever company has ordered the phone checking so that they know that (whatever time you answered the call) is a good time to call that number again - this time with an operator at the other end.

If you've ever wondered why you get certain annoying calls at certain times, chances are that an automatic dial program has been used previously to validate your number and a most likely time to call where it will be answered...sneaky technology!

This scam artist. Ultra rude and dishonest. Basically selling emotional blackmail. I'd say he has our Governments Blessing as he attempts to exploit the weak, the poor and the uninformed. BEWARE, Blacklist this guy.

Hangs up immediatly after we answer

Caller: Someone wanting to sell retirement benefits for people under 39

The caller became aggravated when questioned how they had my number - when told not interested and to remove my number from their database he said he was just doing his job... Recommend you take the call and immediately tell them you are not interested and to remove your number from their database!

This number has rung me a few times, I rang back and a recording came on saying to please check the number

This is a fraudulent caller / scammer a foreign accent claiming to be from Australian Retirement Services advising of tax deduction entitlements

No message left. Dont know who it is so blocked.

this number called both my landline and my mobile at the exact same time, I called back and got a message saying this number was disconnected......

I am getting several calls a day sometimes. When I answer they hang up immediately. Once, when I didn't speak, I heard the sound of a call centre in background before they hung up. They have never spoken

frequent calls, which I don't return.

Three or more missed calls in the last 2 days. I rang back once and was greeted with silence. Then they hung up. Annoying! I’m about to block the number.

Three rings only, no message, number not recognised

This number called me aggressively, e.g. several times every ~3 minutes, and hung up when answered, or it went to the voice mail.
