Asked me did l remember when they had replaced the lights inside our house. That never happened so l hung up. and he called me by my name. He rang straight back - rude man.

Rang 5 times within 1 1/2 hours last night March 15, complete silence when the phone answers, even before the answer machine picks up the call.

I haven't had hardly any calls since the bushfires, now they've started again - seems to be the same one as the Private number who had the same pattern a couple of days ago.

Did not recognise number, no voicemail left. Checked this site... have now blocked.

Scam call for "replacing light globes"

i answered asking if the call was about government rebate on solar panels(more often it is) and they said it was about free light globe replacements.

ME: well you can shove that up your rear too, never call me again!

Caller: Indian Call Centre

Like the others have stated, this is an Indian call centre with the same old rigmarole about installing new lights. We have had a rash of them lately, all on different numbers (this one has called previously).

Called once, my daughter answered, no response so she hung up.
A minute passes, phone rings, daughter answers. He wants to know why she hung up & she tells him it was because no-one spoke. This is when he calls her a "f#@king idiot" & asks if she is me. She said no & he says "you're a f#@king liar". My daughter's 17 & if anyone's gonna call her these things it's me!
These pricks have to be stopped!

Caller: Call centre scamming idiot

Idiot calls me by name and tells me that ages ago they supplied free low-energy lights under some government scheme. Idiot rattled on for a few more minutes and tried to get me to say 'yes' to my name. AS IF. Idiot is calling from an indian call centre, not an australian business. Get it? I live in Australia. I'm not going to let some call centre scammer or any of his business associates ANYWHERE NEAR MY HOUSE, particularly when they call from India.I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF IT'S FREE. I don't give a rats if there are qualified electricians! To change a goddam light bulb? For god's sake get a life, scumbags. You come near me, you won't survive. GOT IT? And yeah, there are australian companies who pay you to annoy innocent people. OK, the phone gets disconnected SO YOU LOSE, PIGS! Also just to check, I dialled the number. SURPRISE SURPRISE, --- NOT CONNECTED!

Per this page I see it is another scammer...because my answering machine started they hung up.

Telstra Call guardian is even better, it won't even put the call through unless the caller identifies themselves (or are on your white list) and of couse spammers never do. I only know about these calls, because they show up in my call list, but my phone doesn't even ring

An unidentified number. Rang twice in the day. I let it just ring out and they didn't leave a message. Obvious prank.Just rang out. Agree with anonymous. Telstra knows the number but doesn't do anything about it.

Love only having a fax machine plugged in! Hope they enjoy the beeeep. WTF are the gov doing to stop the issuing of numbers to these scammers?

This number called me today but I did not pick up as most of the phone calls to the home landline are scammers

These people rang my landline this morning and did not leave a message. Ring back "the call could not be connected".
Lucky me for not answering!

Unrecognised number on home phone... never answer those... checked this site. Blocked...immediately. Totally agree with others, given the technology that abounds I'm stunned that this sort of calling cannot be dealt with. 'nuf said !

So annoying thinking of having landline disconnected.They never answer but keep ringing ,do not answer if you try to return call

Arseholes tried calling (again) on 28/6 but I have the number blocked. The fat cats at do not call do nothing to try and shut this down. This phone number has been around for a long time and if DNC bothered working with other Government agencies and telecommunications companies they can find these pricks.
