I called back number (03) 9649 4674 spoke to a woman who said I've reached a company called AGL Anytime.

I answered and no one spoke, my phone identified the call as possibel fraud so I hung up.

Caller: A company called ‘connect now’

It’s a company that arranges connection of utilities at a rental property. I told my real estate I DID NOT want to be added to this. I’m now waiting for the other calls that will come.

I answered but just quiet. No one talking. So hang up! Good to know it’s AGL from previous posts

AGL- very well known gas & electricity company and most resident probably have their gas and electricity supplied by them

I just searched up this number that has called me 3 times in 2 days. I answered it the first time and there was no response. I hung up and blocked the number it called twice today and left a voice message with only faint breathing heard. It's definitely not AGL! I think its really sh*tty for scammers to try to reassure you their number is safe when it is definitely not. Remember to always keep your personal information safe. Good luck out there guys.

I had the phone on do not disturb. There was another number that called 3 times - ‭0414 431 358‬ there was no answer on call back. Probably both from the same scammer- I don't have an AGL account. That company scams you without any outside help.

A guy called me tonight offering a hardship grant and when I said he should know my AGL details he asked for my address. Didn't give it. He said call AGL about the hardship grant and he gave me the AGL number to call. I advised him that he wasn't calling from the 1300 number and he quickly hung up.

Caller: Lady said she was from AGL

Said she was calling about a government grant. Asked me to confirm my surname and DOB, which I did. Then said she needed to ask few questions to see if I was eligible for the grant. First question was did I have enough savings to pay my bills. I became suspicious and politely told her I was not comfortable answering such personal questions over the phone and didn't wish to continue. She was very polite saying she understood and suggested I ring AGL direct on 131 245 if I wanted further information about the grant. I haven't yet rang them but the number is genuine AGL contact number.

My phone warned me not to answer and called it FRAUD!🚫 so I didn't.
Also, even more sus was they left no voicemail, so why tf are people saying it's AGL? I don't think so...

This number calls me about 5+ times a day. But I don’t answer numbers from other states. And if it’s important enough they will leave a voice message

this number has rung me approx 4 times a day for about a month now and my phone is saying Potential Fraud..beware everyone
