This phone number called our office yesterday and it immediately cut out when I answered it. Today a lady calls back (clearly sounds like a call center). I recognized the number so immediately Google Searched it and found this page. She said she wanted to speak with the business owner or the person in charge of our telephone account. I asked why. She replied that it was because she needed more information about our Telstra Account. I asked where she was calling from and she said "Corporate House Australia". I asked her if she was trying to sell something and she said no she was simply trying to save us money by moving our Telstra account onto a corporate discount. I then told her that we are not with Telstra and that furthermore we would not be giving her any of our businesses personal information as this number was purported to be a SPAM Caller and that she should immediately remove our business from the call list they had bought. The caller tried to make out that they had all of our account information (even though they clearly didnt as we are not with Telstra). Be very careful.

Same story after weeks of hang ups finally a " I need to speak with the owner of the business" Blah. blah your restaurant ..........( its a roadhouse) At which point I say, May I take your order- how many hamburgers? Plain or the lot? Egg& bacon rolls?.............sauce.? Coffee? Again he is Blah, Blah, landlines. Again I ask for orders with a "Look mate, this phone is for customer orders only, so how many chicken wraps?
He hung up, if he rings again I should offer him a curry

Caller type: Prank Call
Location: Australia
I've had numerous phone calls from the number of (03) 9517 1443 which was first recorded in my diary on the 2015/01/22 through to the 2015/07/10.

In the few instances that I had picked up the phone call there was never a person on the other end, in all of these occasions, and in effect this situation was presenting as prank going on to harassment calls from my perspective. Consequently, the vast majority of phone calls made to me were not answered.

In the early stages of me attempting to enquire about the identity by calling this number back, I was not able to generate any useful information to contact the owner of this number.

In more recent times when I've rang this number and was greeted with male voice message stating "Please call 1300 843 130" followed by another female voice, one that sound like the standard Telstra message voice, stating "This message bank is full. Please try again later. Good bye".

This number of 1300 843 130 is associated with "V4 Telecom Pty Ltd" and has a fax number of (03) 9826 6832. This company has a web site at www.v4.net.au, a social-net identity at www.linkedin.com/company/v4-telecom, and also, a Head Office web site for the UK market at www.v4telecom.co.uk.

While the Australian web site indicates a post office address in South Yarra, Victoria, and, Dave has indicated that they are physically in Melbourne (with exact details undisclosed), you should be aware that this is an identity with a British accent that happens to have a web presence (and presumed office) in Australia in a bid to sell telecommunication products in the Australian market place.

In my initial call to 1300 843 130 I had spoken with Dave where I had requested to talk to the 'Marketing Manager' which he responded that I would receive a return call from a 'Sales Person'. Here it was necessary for me to correct him, which I did, by stating that I need to speak to your 'Marketing Manager', not a Sales Person'. At this point, and, having forwarded my contact details, Dave had promised that someone would contact me.

Two days had passed and I had not received any return calls from V4 Telecom to discuss this matter.

On the second call to 1300 843 130 I had spoken with Jim, who had identified himself as the 'Director'. After some discussion, I asked if his organisation is checking the 'Do not call register'? Where he responded, 'We check our do not call register'. And subsequently by the end of the conversation, Jim had noted my contact details and had promised to have my details added to his organisations do not call register to avoid further issues and appease my line of questions. Jim had also indicated that circumstances that I was describing were consistent with an auto-dialler scenario.

The interpretation that I made from this was that Jim did not understand the legal significance associated with the words 'Do not call register' in the Australian environment. While this legal significance does not apply in my situation, Jim's handling of the conversation does cause me to want to ask questions.

Coincidently, in a similar time frame I have some calls from (03) 8540 8953 that is continually engaged when you try to ring this number back.

If it is in fact V4 Australia, why not call their head office on (03) 9826 6832 or 1300 843 130 and tell them what you really think!

Waste their time and then talk dirty to them....
If it's a male, come on with your pretend 'heavy duty submission/anal fantasies.... tell him your holidaying in India next month and see if he wants to meet.
If it's a female, simple ask how often her husband sodomises her. Tell her you're holidaying in India next month and you'd be keen to have her husband.

They are paid on success (Hi, I'm Cess!) so keeping them on the 'phone for as long as you can before starting the Heavy Duty Sexual Harassment will get them "off your back"... err... so to speak.

I have received calls from this number before but I always let it go to message bank and as soon as the message starts they would hang up. Just now they rang again but instead of hanging up they left heavy breathing through the whole message. This is very disconcerting and I wonder if I should contact the police.

Have been getting a lot of calls from these scumbags lately. The first asked to speak to the business owner...I work from home and have a business listing but I told them it was 7.45 pm and I was the cleaner! Since then, they phone every day but then hang up without answering. Why are there no laws that allow action against this type of thing...it is disruptive and blatant harassment/stalking using a communication device. The latest call was a little while ago...mid Saturday afternoon.

I have been getting about 10 calls a week from this number. I've added them to my phone's phonebook under "SCAM" so when it rings, I just hit the reject button. Today, however, I was bored so I answered the call. Heavy Indian accent told me that because I have an ABN I qualify for cheap phone calls. I told him I don't have a phone. He paused, then repeated that I could get cheap phone calls. I told him again he was barking up the wrong tree, because I don't have a phone. He was silent for a few seconds then he hung up, hopefully never to ring back.
