Caller: Jasmine from Melbourne Advance

This same call has come from numerous different numbers; all of which I have blocked. Today the same call came from an unidentified number "no caller ID". Very annoying. It should be possible to stop this company!

This used to come from a listed number. Now it comes up as "Private Number". The same recorded message comes through with a woman stating to be "Jasmine from Melbourne Advance" "calling to see how Melbournians are coping with the pandemic..." I have received several calls from the same caller over the last 6months or so and am getting pretty sick of it.

I got this call too from an unknown number. She kept trying to ask my age and my name and when I asked for more information about what organisation she was calling from she completely ignored me and asked a different question. Almost as though it was an automated message :/

Seems to be a robo-call soliciting "yes/no" answers which can then be used for identity theft.

Really annoying, multiple calls, automated recording. Would love to know how to block, as no coming up "no caller ID".

The call came through as a Private number. I answered thinking it could be from my workplace. There is no such organisation as Melbourne Advance. They have called me so many times over the past 10 months.

Private Number called saying they were from Melbourne Advance and asking if I was under or over 58yo.
This is the same recording as the calls I got from some other "survey" company in 2020.

Anyone know how to stop these calls?

Caller: Non-existent organisation pretending to go by the name of "Melbourne Advanced" which doesn't exist under ABN or ATO. When I asked them to explain who they were, the woman just repeated her spiel, "this is Jasmine from Melbourne Advanced, blablabla", not being able to answer my question. Scammer using scripted repetition to find out how much money you have (and if you're over 58). I knew it was a scam, but played along for a while to see how far it would go, before calling them out on the bs. They hung up when they realised I had been playing them, hahaha. I reported them to the ACCC. If you receive a call from them, simply hang up, don't fall for it.

I just got a call from them too. Stopped after 4 5 questions. Didn't seem to be very Melbourne focussed and was quite pushy with questions.

Call received from a "No caller Id" number and Jasmine introduced herself and claimed to be from Melbourne Advance doing a survey on how people are coping financially during the pandemic and that I could win $1,500. She then launched into questions at which point I indicated that I hadn't agreed to participate and didn't know what Melbourne Advance was - she then stopped talking, said OK and hung-up.

From 'no caller ID' - Jasmine. How Victorians are coping financially with COVID. Said I wasn't from Victoria. Went back to start. All sorts of questions about mortgage balance, home value, mortgage rates, do I think I pay too much tax, did accountant achieve a tax return higher or lower than $5000. Not sure what kind of scam this is.

Got the same call from private number. Volume was ridiculously loud, so pissed me off even more. f*cking scammers.
