I recited the first 3 lines of SPACE ODDITY to them as soon as I picked up. They hung up. Bahahahaha. I called back and, without ringing, call ends. Sounds like the work of a scammer who doesn't like David Bowie :-)

Some Indian dude claiming to be from an energy company in Victoria, wanting to know how many exhaust fans I have in my house.

This number has called me three times today and ignored it thanks to the comments here. Annoying as heck!

Indian Accent, from the 'Victorian Government', something about exhaust fans. Directed me to a Victorian Government website, that is working on energy ratings. Said 'they were going to be in my area on Thursday to replace fans' so I should book in! I said let me look into it - I'll email if I want anything. Had a tendency to YELL and raise their voice.
Called back the day after. This time I asked 'how do you know my details' - he GOT ANGRY - and said 'I'm from the Victoria Government'. I kept pursuing - yeah but how did you get my details? From what records? Did I sign up to something? I'd remember that. I think data is coming via data leaks - medibank + AHM etc - as they had an old address and he used this. So thanks AHM.

Third call this week, first one yelled and made fun of me 'Not knowing how many exhaust fans are in my house'
Called in regards of 'government initiated', free of charge: draft stopper and exhaust fans. 'Karen' confirmed my house address and postcode without prompt on my end. Quite unssettling, then confirmed that I had two exhaust fans before hanging up as I 'honestly' had no idea what or how many exhaust fans i have in my home. unsure if scam or true to their word. Either way, I play dumb everytim, two have hung up the other llaughed at me before getting angry i didn't know how many 'damn fans' I have.

Said working for a government, and he just has the strongest Indian accent "is the rrrrround exhaust fan or a squarre one?"
