it's like sales call but how did they know my number

I returned a call from this number (03) 9112 5959 but no one answered the call

selling energy transfers. mostly in a foreign language and not understandable. i always ask .....what r u selling? they always say.............i'm not selling anything( in a foreign language) then a recent electricity account is mentioned, from what i can gather from the few English words decipherable. i then block the number. Roughly got about 23 blocked so far. if they want me, they can leave a message.

They called - I don't answer calls if they aren't in my contacts. They didn't leave a message. I called the number back from a silent line and there was no answer. Checked comments here and blocked them

they tried to call from this number and from (03) 9112 5876. Ignored ALL calls as I'm sure its a SCAM of some sort..

Got a call from this number, said they were from Link Australia? (I think) spoke with an accent, knew my name, started talking about saving me money on tax for homeowners and blah blah blah. I hung up
