FAILURE TO DELIVER TIME AFTER TIME!!! After numerous phone calls that each time resulted in a dead end, I finally caused enough fracas to be called back directly be Ed Weaver himself, and promised a refund. We were given a big sob story about how their business failings were all due to a his nasty divorce...not sure how one's personal life should affect your product/is relevant, but when we found out that the divorce was over three years ago, its obvious they were just looking for excuses.
None the less, I let things go and waited patiently for our refund cheque to arrive.
However, in the interim we received a phone call from Michelle basically bribing us (as nicely as possible) to remove our original negative review if we wanted our cheque. It has now been over 5 weeks since we were promised our refund and surprise surprise nothing! Weaver Newspapers if you are reading this review, just return our money as promised!!!!!

Edward,

I reject the complete and utter lies in your above comment. I have had very similar experiences to the above posters with regards to taking extra payments from my credit card without authorization and my ad not being printed. It is clear from those who work for or deal with your company what type of outfit you run....

You still owe me a refund and i will get it.

Worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I have said goodbye to my $1,250. My story has elements of many of those already posted, so not worth detailing except to say that it was for their Seniors Scene publication. The only plus about it all is that I did a direct deposit to their account, so wasn't double charge as seems to be the case for many (in reading through these comments). The phone now goes straight to a message stating that they are unreachable . Despicable company with no ethics, professionalism or competence. As for customer service, get ready for anger & insults if you query any of their failures to deliver. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Just about the most unscrupulous bunch of people that we have ever come across (and there's been a few too many). After spending approximately $1000 with them on front page advertising and then receiving no response we requested a list of where this paper is actually delivered to, only to be told by the very rude "general manager" that they would provide a distribution list to us in court! Have called 10 other companies who have also advertised with them and not one has had a single response/enquiry! We told the general manager this only to be told that the purpose of advertising "isn't to get a response". Why on earth would anyone advertise then???!!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

The exact same thing happened with our credit card. Have emailed twice with proof and rung several times. Promise to get back to me but dont. Also found other people saying same thing at https://www.womo.com.au/reviews/weaver-newspapers-seaford. This is a big scam. I've reported to scamwatch and will be going to the police. Encourage others to do the same

I have paid for advertising with your senior scene magazine and was told after several months that my advert was NOT published and I would receive a full page and artwork would be sent to me!!! well, another month and I am STILL waiting!!!??? I am begining to believe that you guys are serious scammers and fully believe the comments above. If you are actually a legit company then why do you run your business SO BADLY? you can get back to me if you can find my files under Opal Bin and Outback Opal Tours

Weaver newspapers have fraudulently used our credit card for $250 . Husband stupidly agreed to a calendar advertisement late last year. Publication has never appeared, They were given our credit card details for the all up payment of $250. They have now taken 2 payments if $250 from our credit card, 1st one was authorised, second was not. They are refusing to pay this money back. Police have been informed and are pursuing on our behalf.
