Said they were from Vodafone. They sent an SMS from "AUVODAFONE" to say they were from Vodafone but I'm not convinced that it wasn't hijacked. Had this happen before from another number which I also suspect was a phishing scam because they wanted identification details.
This time I asked that the email me the details of the new plan he was sprooking but he wasn't keen to and when I said I was busy so please email he didn't seem keen to and tried to keep me on the line. Sounds suspiciously like a phishing scam.
Even more suspicious since there isn't any other comments here for this number confirming it is Vodafone.

Caller: Was it Vodafone? Can't be sure these days.

Dear Vodafone, don't ring people expecting them to give a pin number over the phone to someone without ID coming from the caller. I'll keep hanging up. If I want an upgrade, I'll call you.

Said from Vodafone. Wanted identification details to be able to offer a better plan. Sounded like scamming.

No message left. I was at work and missed the call. If they are genuine this person who called should leave a message especially in this day and age of scams. I have blocked this number .

Repeated missed calls from this number. Once it went to voicemail, i assume that was accidental as it was the background noise of a call centre. No message. From other feedback seems it could be genuine, but if so just leave a msg then i might answer next time...

Had my name, and asked for a 4-digit pin. I said that I forgot, but she told me to try any 4-digit combination. Then I hung up on her. Seemed suspicious because there was a lot of background noise over the line.

It's a Vodafone call centre trying to upsell/upgrade your account. My plan ran out 6 weeks ago & I'd had a few missed calls from this number over the last 2-3 weeks. I told them I was unhappy & going to Telstra & the lady didn't seem to care.

I answered and they immediately hung up. Have had quite a few calls from this number over the last couple of weeks, first time I have answered one.

I let it ring out and they (accidentally I assume) left a message, sounded like a call centre

This appears to be genuine. I received a call from this number purporting to be from Vodafone. The caller knew my name and that I was a long standing customer. The stated purpose of the call was to inform of new plans and to ensure my needs were being met on my current plan. In other words to try to upsell to a more expensive plan for the cynics among us (and from experience being too cynical is being barely cynical enough). I didn't have time to persue the call so I terminated it. I later called the Vodafone helpline and it was confirmed that Vodafone sales had called me earlier that day.

Same thing just happened to me, seemed really suspicious as they kept asking for PIN number. Definitely dodgy.
