Caller: SMSF returned call and placed on long hold - long enough to look them up and report them here. It was flagged as potential spam call when my phone showed it as a missed call.

These guys just called me, they claim they from Australia but sounds like they are from Kalkatta India try to get your Super Funds.
SMSF = Self Managed Super Funds, means they want you to let them permanently manage your super funds. Obvivous scam

Called me today. Said they were from some super fund thing, then asked for my e-mail and which super fund I am with. That was the red flag as if they were from my super fund then wouldn't they know that? I didn't give any details and asked them to call back tomorrow and I just won't answer if they do.

Caller: Potential "financial services" scam Can corroborate many of the other comments made here in terms of the purported reason for calling being "Self Managed Super Fund" advice. I answered the call on their third attempt to entertain myself as I too had received the "Possible Scam" warnings but I knew I wouldn't be signing up for anything today so why not at least waste some of their time?..
I didn't provide them with any new information they didn't already have on me, however I did enquire as to what they were supposedly offering. The caller said he was getting in touch to discuss financial services, and had a financial planner who he could set me up with this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
Suggesting I was already quite content with my superannuation arrangements, he refused to take my declination and insisted they could provide superior service. The operator said he would email me an information pack, and then have the planner call me back, to which I promptly said I would first read their pack before taking any further calls, and after the conversation ended, I blocked their number.
It seems they have scraped a bit of information about me prior to the call (first and last name, an incorrect email address, and of course linked them up to my phone number). Presumably they obtained this information from public "whois" information available from some of the web domains I have set up and manage, however I can't say this is definitively where the personal info came from.

Caller: SMSF Called and identified themselves, firstly unintelligibly, then when asked to repeat, as SMSF (Self Managed Super Fund), which doesn't make any sense. Identified as a scam, looked up Scamwatch & yes they are trying to get hold of your super. Blocked number. (Made me feel better even though I know they use lots of different numbers, typically calling and not leaving a message.)
