Indian call centre woman said name is Kathryn, calling from Windows Technical Department, warned about hackers trying to get into my computer, gave number she said is a unique ID number. It's not - simply a part of Windows over many years, far from unique. I asked her to give me a phone number I could use to call her back. She refused. I asked her to tell me the IP address of my computer. She said does not have it. Much more similar stupidity. I toyed with her for nearly 18 minutes. Eventually I told her to apply more intelligence and invent a better story next time she tries scamming someone like this and ended the call. Call recorded. One for the amusement of present and future generations. Tried calling number, voice recording said not connected. No surprise there.
