Bank of Melbourne Promo

Yep, this number just called my mobile, I'm glad I chose not to answer it. It's now on the Block list.

I answered once but was unable to talk as I was driving, she said it was important that she called me back as it was to set up my statements for Bank of Melb. Since then they have been calling me everyday on my mobile, never leave a message and when I return the call it is an auto response saying I have called Aegeus on behalf of Bank of Melbourne and they will call me back. I have now called the Bank of Melb to get it sorted out and they have no idea who or what they are????? The Bank of Melbourne have recommended that I report the call and number to the Police, which I will do. BEWARE

Don't answer. they are the bank of melbourne. Answered one of their calls and they asked for someone other than myself and I said they had the wrong number. Since then I keep getting texts and calls stating that i have signed up for a credit card. Not only am I not with their branch, I dont even live in Melbourne. So do not answer this call if you get one

I told him I was busy but could speak to him if it was important. He said it wasn't important, just a courtesy call. I said I was too busy to talk and he was friendly and said thank you.

if it is real promo why do they just hang up a few seconds after i say hello

Hi Peter, asking for account info would be a lie, I got a call today, they never asked for account info and it was the Bank of Melbourne that called. The lady gave me her staff ID and I have since confirmed it with my local branch.

I got a call from this number today (apparently Bank of Melbourne) they wanted me to identify myself and my account info (NO THANKS). Cancelled the call and rang Bank of Melbourne they could not tell me who if was and suspect it could be a scam.

It's true that we do need to be extremely careful with who we give our details out to over the phone but this number is definitely from the Westpac group (Bank of Melbourne, Bank SA, St George). The rep was very helpful and provided me with his employee code which I verified within a branch. Scammers never give you a legitamite way of confirming their identity.

I got cold called claiming to be from St George Bank. The "Customer Service Rep" wanted ID info from me because she had "something important to tell me".
I didn't fall for that St George Bank. Nice bank?

I had a missed call from this number, when I called them back, it was an automated machine that advised "thank you for calling Bank of Melbourne, we recently contacted you to discuss some products which may be of interest to you" So it is basically a sales call. No thanks

I received a call from this number and it was BankSA (Westpac, St George affiliate). I recently signed up for a credit card with them and they were providing a courtesy call to check all was well and offer a savings account promotion.
