ATO Tax Scammer

They left a VM saying they’re from the “department” and have been investigating me and my family, that they’ve filed a lawsuit against me for tax fraud, and to call them for more information. I tried calling back but it just rang out.

Caller: No idea

They called me about me doing tax evasion (which isn’t true)

Called back, it rang for a bit and then it disconnected by itself.

A robot voice saying that I’m being sued by the tax office for fraud

Scammers claiming to be Australian taxation office

VM left by robot with American accent saying the Department has been investigating me and my family and it’s been decided I’ve intentionally committed tax fraud and a lawsuit has been initiated in my name.

I rang the number back who said they were an investigations team but would not tell me which company and when I asked them they hung up.

I rang once and got disconnected
