Answer saying they are the ATO in Collins Street Docklands Melbourne.

Someone with an outrageous accent (possibly doing their best Sean Connery) calls from this number and says he is from the ATO and they are about to serve a warrant for my arrest (but they don’t mention my name) and that I must call back if I wish to avoid this happening. Just another one of the many scammers who line every day with some device designed to scare us out of our hard earned money.

Persistent little buggers, aren't they - rang us on two separate days and left the 'we're coming to arrest you for tax avoidance' message.

This number is a scam running out of a call center and purporting to be the ATO in Collins Street Melbourne (if you listen carefully you can hear all the other operators)
Contact the Tax office in your own state they can deal with any issues over the phone

Threatning call from a party claming to be from the ATO. Accusing Tax avoidance and evasion. Implying pending arrest warant. Requiring us to return call to (03) 9021 6916.

Rang my 78 year old mother and left a message on her answering machine, nearly scared her to death with their threats. Beware.

ATO Scam with threats of being arrested and fined $35000 by Government office. Hang up.

I upset the the scammers by continualy harrassing them at their own game!
Redial comes in very useful but beware they can see your number unless it is silent.
It doesn't bother me that they can see my number as they dont answer now or hang up on me. They say attack is the best form of defence!!!
