Caller type: Scam
Location: Australia
Calls from this number were the source of a Telstra scam which involved detailed demos of supposed internet connection errors, and eventually me providing them remote access to my computer. They persisted with additional calls hours after hanging up on them. Agnes, Mark and Robert at this supposed call centre kept in contact with me on 14 and 15/4/15 with multiple phone calls to and from them. Just after I had changed my passwords, I received (presumably from the same guys) a scam ANZ bank email suggesting I upgrade my bank security by pressing a link button. Over a period of about three hours they misrepresented errors as being via Telstra's server in Brisbane. After providing supposed multiple incidents of connection errors both via DOS and partly logging on to the banks, I was tricked into paying him (not Telstra) $24 via Western Union for a three year fix-up and protection service. In fact $483 was deducted from my credit card. Ii have been told that I will on this first occasion have my loss re-imbursed.

The Dept of Comms acorn.com cyber security reporting site now has a full report and can hopefully trace this number, despite it being barred from appearing on the Reverse Australia system.
