JUST HAD A CALL FROM "TELSTRA" AND AN INDIAN GUY CALLED PETER JOHNSON SAYING THAT OUR MEDICAL CENTRE WAS BEING HACKED. I ASKED FOR AN EMPLOYEE ID, AND PHONE NUMBER SO OUR I.T. GUY COULD CONTACT HIM. YET WHEN OUR I.T. GUY PHONED AND STARTED ASKING QUESTIONS HE WAS HUNG UP ON. DODGEY AS!!!!

I too have just had a call from this number ,when told him I was not with Telstra for my net he got very aggressive I asked for his number and he got real angry then. But gave it me

Same deal said his name was Peter Brown. He was after my Unicode, Personal Security ID. I asked for his number as I did not believe he was from Telstra and got the number.

Yep, had the same thing just now! He said Telstra had asked him to call regarding people hacking into my internet. I said, 'great, give me the name and contact number of the person at Telstra and I'll call them directly".

He gave me the above number.

I called it back but no answer. Go figure.

Same. Said he was from Telstra. Oh dear. When will they learn. Said his name was STEVE.

Just had an Indian lady call me ...same story..so i told her to wait while I give the phone to my son who is an I.T. techie..she hung up. Then she calls back and I tell her you are a scammer, you are not from telstra, we aussies know all about this its been on the news here. I asked for her phone number, street address and name. Her name is Agnes Brown..lol Telstra is at 30 Albert st Sth Yarra and the same phone number you guys have...... the address is a residential one....so not real...getting so sick of this..and we are on the do not call registry.

My sister just received a call with the exact same thing and has reported it to Telstra. It is a scam to access your computer.

Had the same thing happen to me. He got cranky with me when I said I would call telstra.

My father had the same caller though without accent but trusted him so now a computer infected with viruses not to mention confidential files accessed.

I just had a phone call from a person claiming to work for Telstra regarding someone hacking into my internet account. Sounded dodgey. I just said I would call them back. Took a long time to give me the number.

yeah just spoke to Telsra its a Hoax

Someone with an Indian accent called saying they were from Telstra and wanted me to sit in front of my computer and go through a procedure with them because apparently people are accessing my computer. I suspect this is an attempt to actually access my computer - he said he had my IP address and all my details, but when I asked him to read out my home address he accused me of "playing him" and hung up. Dodgey.
