These people won't stop calling me. I have begged. I have screamed. I hang up on them every time but they keep calling. I agree, they are scammers but why aren't they being stopped?
Today is the third day that these people are calling us. They claim to be "Microsoft technical support" and keep calling us even though we have told them to leave us alone. There is a man and a woman with what sounds like an Indian accent but during different calls gave us different names. They are quite aggressive and threatening when you refuse to do what they want you to do. Their main aim is to get you to start your computer to start of with, what comes after that we don't know because we refused to cooperate. The man even told us in one of the repeated calls that "you are rude and you have been rude to us when we called earlier and we can take you to custody for that". So we advise you don't cooperate and if possible, report this to Police.
these guys are definetely scammers i am more than competent with computers and the things they were telling me to do were predictable. i went along for the ride until they wanted me to connect to there computer then i stopped.
I received a phone call from this number listed above from an Indian or similar accent, claiming they are from "Service Centre of Windows", 'based in Melbourne, Australia'. Apparently they were receiving notifications of a virus on my computer - the 1st person asked me to turn on my computer, which I did not.
I asked for my phone number to be removed, which the lady said she could not do. I then asked to speak to a manager, which he said 'why', when I asked for the number to be removed. I told him he didnt need to know that, I wanted it removed, he said 'this is not a scam'. I repeated to him, 'please remove my phone number from your list, and do not contact me again' and hung up. I believe they are scammers and in the middle of reporting them. Their number also comes up as Private Caller.
